Socialists summon Musaraj to interpellation

Parliament: The terrorist act is condemned Interior Minister: “It is not an individual act...” Work is under way intensively to catch the perpetrators of the crime” Parliament: The terrorist act is condemned Socialists summon Musaraj to interpellation Interior Minister: “It is not an individual act...” Work is under way intensively to catch the perpetrators of the crime” As the elections draw nearer, fear and impatience are also growing among the deputies over their mandate, as is now clearly the case with the PD. It is obvious to them that the April 11 parliament is far away! But they still are not avoiding compromises; rather, the instigator of the fear of communism, the continuation of the fuson’s cleaner, the splitting of the old kinds, after the bad from the post of chairman. The People’s Assembly, which was voting on the draft resolution submitted by the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party, further escalated the reaction in public opinion to the event that took place near the Yugoslav embassy in Tirana. Deputies from the opposition and the majority strongly condemned the terrorist act that shook the capital, while demanding from the law enforcement and judicial bodies that the perpetrators be uncovered as quickly as possible. The Minister of the Interior, Agron Musaraj, responding to the interpellation requested by the Socialist parliamentary group, said that the event cannot be considered an individual act, but rather an organized criminal action. According to him, the investigations are being conducted intensively and the police are working on several concrete leads to identify the persons responsible. A minute of silence was observed in the parliamentary chamber in honor of the lives lost. Representatives of all political forces stated that violence and terror should not be added to an already tense political climate. From the opposition benches there were also calls for the government to inform parliament periodically about the progress of the investigations and the measures taken to guarantee public safety. Socialist deputies emphasized that the event seriously damages the country’s image and creates insecurity among citizens. At the end of the session, the Assembly adopted a condemning declaration and called on the state institutions to act responsibly and with full transparency.

From the statement of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party

We are against anyone prejudging this event, and especially against any political coloring of this event. It, especially against any political coloring of this event. Our shock and concern at this event have also been aroused by other conditions. We believe it has been made possible by such a political situation, characterized by a spirit of insecurity, by psychological terror directed at the opposition, and by the instrumentalization of the law-enforcement forces. It has also been enabled by the paralysis of the justice bodies, by the inability of state structures to prevent or punish criminal activities. The current situation is extremely serious. It is being evidenced not only in the increase of violent and terrorist acts, but also in the escalation of hate speech and political conflict. Instead of acting to calm the climate, new tensions are being fed. This serves the destabilization of the country and seriously harms Albanian society. We call for urgent measures to uncover the perpetrators of this event, to bring them before justice, and to guarantee public order and the safety of citizens. PS Press Office

Fear

- Deputies who will not be in the next parliament have been seized by fear. - Ferdinand Xhaferi, the mouthpiece of Tritan Shehu. - Boris Sapoanov, three fleets, “stealing” to make Bashkim Kopliku prime minister. As the elections draw nearer, fear and impatience are also growing among the deputies over their mandate, as is now clearly the case with the PD. It is obvious to them that the April 11 parliament is far away! But they still are not avoiding compromises; rather, the instigator of the fear of communism, the continuation of the fuson’s cleaner, the splitting of the old kinds, after the bad from the post of chairman. [I?] after the bad from the post of chairman. [I?] Why? Because after the bad from the list of other candidates in the designated district, such as Mr. Hoxha. Hoxha, offense, humiliation and contempt. Why? Why? Salami? What key did the chairman hold? And probably? “It is not that the chairman’s ambitions are big enough”(?), the unspoken question. What key did the chairman hold? The limit, with everything, is that the chairman’s ambitions for prime minister have enlarged the fear. Zaç carries it himself, Tritan Shehu. The selection on the list of candidates for ministers in the second government in the district “is” not punishable either. Yes, despite the unusual question, the PD chairman, with a “He has not declared himself a candidate for prime minister,” is seeking absolution so that he too can be prime minister! Through the PS and its leading figures he was astonished by the “fear” of the PD deputies, since each one, when questioned by the journalist of “Zëri i Popullit,” returns to the “fear” that there will be exclusions and removals. And thus, as always, all the top leaders who may be pulled back every day also drag the structures after them. And they are also asking what answer should be given. Those on the list. The evaluators, who will then be judged by what they have given, but in the course of many meetings where they are accused of shortcomings and “indecision.” Meanwhile, Xhaferi has launched a major offensive. He is now entering into a political “duel” with the acting prime minister, Aleksandër Meksi. Because the opinion is circulating that only Meksi, like Berisha, sees Shehu as his successor, and that he supports him in climbing to the post of prime minister. And naturally, there is no reason not to attack him from his side, as harshly as possible, in order to strengthen the chairman’s trend toward election, which is still being kept in suspense. This has pushed Xhaferi so far that he mentions Meksi’s name in every interview and statement to the newspapers. He has said that the prime minister is an “old man,” that “he must clear the way,” and that “he cannot be the man who will lead us to victory.” Boris Sapoanov(?), his close associate, who as is known moves him from one post to another, flattering him and sending signals, is also working hard for Shehu. But he, in all likelihood, is also “stealing” for prime minister Bashkim Kopliku, whose name he mentions from time to time as an alternative. In this game there are many small calculations and much great fear.

From the statement of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party

All our deputies will be in parliament and in the next government! To those who fear genuine reforms, we say that the Socialist Party will be the main force of democratic change in Albania. We call on all political forces and citizens to unite against violence, terror, and the manipulation of state institutions for narrow party interests. Albania needs calm, justice, and a fair electoral climate.

Summons to testify for media representatives

Other examinations have also been taken and are being carried out by the investigative group, without excluding media representatives who have learned from various sources about the circumstances of the event from the questioning in the criminal process, but also by the police authorities. Their requests are being fulfilled. Afterwards there will be no absurdities that add further anomalies in the relationship with the authorities and in the work of the media. Our views on the media remain unchanged. However, some camera operators and correspondents, as well as voices and incomplete and inaccurate reports, evasive and unclear, and other speculations are based more on comments than on facts. Page 3
