Meeting with the Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Paolo Foresti

The Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, Mr. Paolo Foresti, received yesterday the Deputy Chairman of the PSSH, Ilir Meta, and the MP Erm elinda Meksi, a member of the Presidium. The PS representatives expressed to Mr. Foresti the PS's positions regarding recent developments and the escalation of the political situation, which aims to justify restrictive measures against the opposition during the election period. At the meeting, the PS representatives praised Italy's role in accelerating European integration, which should also be accompanied by an increase in democratic standards in Albania toward European standards. They stressed that the best proof of this would be the holding of the upcoming elections, which need broad international assistance. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. PSSH Spokesperson
