In the capital only 53.4% of voters took part in the elections
...and 6,200 invalid ballots
In the city of Tirana, 47,706 voters cast their votes for the PS candidate, or 10 thousand more voters than on 26 July 1992.
For the PD, 71,107 people voted, or 2,000 fewer voters than in the local elections of 26 July, or 5,000 fewer than those who voted in support of Berisha's constitution on 6 November.
