Bashkim Biza:
"We are asking for the convocation and they are not responding to the request, and we want to avoid locking them in, in no way violently, but to make them take care...
As was done before in convention with hatchets, to be in line with the date of a political convention. The Popular League, we and not the government did this, and its initiators, with the group of industrialists, are linking themselves to politics. They want to carry out passivizations. They are hiding it from the public and doing it in a shameful way. But I am not one of the sluggish ones. I am sensitive to defending the interests of my people, with satire, with humor, and at the same time with charity."
On the 5th anniversary of the FRESSH phenomenon Today vital, the future secure for the PPSH
On the 5th anniversary of the FRESSH phenomenon
Today vital,
the future secure for the PPSH
25 January 1992 marks a special moment in the PPSH. In selected groups, not drawn by admiration for Comrade Enver Hoxha's office, but worthily placing themselves in the ranks of this party from an inspiration in the ideals of the left, the process of its political and organizational transformation began.
With FRESSH's first organization in Tirana, initially led by the well-known intellectual Adnan Xhelili and later Prof. Dr. Ethem Ruka, the first step in the process of transforming the PPSH was taken. The idea of reforming the PPSH seems to have come as a coordinated response to criticism from the most progressive and active part of the capital, mainly young people, about the situation in the PPSH. The influence of the slogan “socialists (young) yes, Enverists no” cannot be ruled out here either. Even if we referred only to archival politics, the founding of FRESSH on 25 January 1992 was also a response to what was happening in the country. The invitation then made by the chairman of the PPSH, Fatos Nano, to Albanian youth to organize and draw closer to the party gave its youth forum an active role in the country's political life.
FRESSH is a capable force of the PPSH, throwing itself into the present in order to build the future. It is drawing around itself young people of different ages and professions, not only from the cities but also from the countryside.
In fact, seen from this perspective, the reform and restructuring of the Socialist Party could not be carried out in a solid, moral form through its youth forum. In short, FRESSH, being an organization not formally tied to the party but sharing the same ideals in its activity programs, had an unquestionable advantage in the country's youth life.
On the eve of celebrating its founding day, FRESSH is strengthening its ranks with all the capacity of youth forces. The close link with the new forces is supported by the development of the youth system, from the simple to the complex, into a stable institution. For this, it is enough to see how the ranks of young men and women have grown in the districts. Its founding on 25 January 1992 marks a day of particular importance for FRESSH; therefore, on its 5th anniversary, we commemorate the birth of a youth organization with a clear political and social vision for the development and progress of the country.
