PD fabricates terror
State of emergency to hide crime and terrorize people
The presidential insistence on postponing the elections, mistrust, consensus and respect for advised responsibilities is with a completely opposite consequence from the perception. Thus it presents that stubbornness on the terrain of the great crisis and the irresponsibility of using, in defiance, the postponement of reasons that largely fell on the shoulders of the same Adesive for the election of the president. There is no real force, with no reason to win through an agreement, that could calm Albania, where violence, even by chance, has no return and leads to isolation toward clashes. The totality of the shortcomings causes, as a result, the exclusion of the path of cooperation, brought about by a major political and social-orienting change and with consequences. The fear of armed groups clashing with the majority of citizens has brought about a situation of uprising and deepening conflict, not calm. The postponement of the elections has been interpreted as a will to retain power at any cost and not as a cautious institutional act. Now everyone can see that this has fueled even more tension and mistrust.

Yesterday’s meeting between the PSSH delegation led by PSSH Chairman Mr. Fatos Nano and the Prime Minister of Greece, Kostas Simitis, was very warm. In both cases, the traditionally good relations of deep friendship and cooperation between the two parties and the two peoples were underlined, considered very important at this difficult moment for Albania. In his remarks, Mr. Fatos Nano expressed high regard for the solidarity and continued assistance that Greece is giving our country in this critical period, and deemed the constructive and encouraging approach of the Greek government at this moment essential and welcome. Nano declared that progress in achieving the objectives of the national reconciliation government and the further democratization of the country is closely tied to preserving a normal political climate in the country. Referring to the situation in Kosovo, Nano underlined that a peaceful solution in respect of international standards is essential. Prime Minister Simitis said on his part that he was very pleased with the meeting with the PSSH delegation. The Greek Prime Minister praised the role and contribution of PSSH chairman Mr. Fatos Nano and of all Albanian socialists to the stabilization of Albania and to democratic developments in the country. Also present at the meeting were PSSH political secretary Arta Dade, MP Spartak Braho and PSSH press chief Namik Dokle, who also served as the delegation’s interpreter. At the end of the meeting with Prime Minister Simitis, Mr. Fatos Nano also met with the President of the Greek Parliament, Apostolos Kaklamanis, who highlighted the warm reception given by the PASOK parliamentary group to the PSSH delegation and the willingness to further expand and intensify cooperation between the parties. Karamanlis: Free and fair elections are needed
Reserved in his comments, the right-wing opposition figures in Greece did not fail to greet the electoral strength of the socialist party. While the secretary of the Executive Committee of New Democracy, Giorgos Voulgarakis, and MP Marietta Giannakou understood the need and potential for Albania to leave the state of emergency as soon as possible. On this occasion, Mr. Karamanlis, in a statement to the Reuters news agency, made known that the socialist side, for its part, will insist on the holding of elections peacefully and democratically. In an interview given to Associated Press, in which he assessed that the days of the end of the crisis period in Albania were approaching, former Greek Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsotakis said that this can happen only if the Albanian people secure a government that enjoys their trust and a parliament emerging from free and fair elections. Taking part in journalist Stavros Theodorakis’s program on Greek television, PSSH chairman Mr. Fatos Nano focused on developments in the country, the constructive and calming policy chosen by the national reconciliation government, as well as on the efforts the opposition is making with the command’s stance in order to oppose its own opponents and the force. For everything that happens, authoritarianism and the stubborn, irresponsible stance of the President of the Republic, Sali Berisha, are to blame. All PSSH decisions are presented to the electorate as democratic. Mr. Nano also stressed that the presence of international military forces in Albania is essential as an important factor in creating a normal climate and ensuring the smooth conduct of the elections. Nano concludes, with whom he parted politely[?]
