The US will look forward to cooperating with the new Albanian government in undertaking the difficult decisions needed to deal with the problems inherited from the communist past. In this struggle of the new Albanian leadership, we hope to find close cooperation for political reconciliation, for the development of strong democratic institutions and of sound economic rule.
