The “Skanderbeg” Order for former Chancellor Vranicki

President Meidani decorates the OSCE Special Envoy for Albania The Albanian Prime Minister will present former Chancellor Franc Vranicki with the high “Skanderbeg” Order today in Vienna. The high decoration was awarded by the President of the Republic of Albania, Rexhep Meidani, with the citation: “For his outstanding contribution to overcoming the Albanian crisis.” Former Chancellor Franc Vranicki was chosen by the OSCE as its negotiator for the Albanian crisis. He was accepted by people from all Albanian political forces to negotiate a solution to this crisis. Mr. Vranicki successfully accomplished his difficult mission, while Albanians saw in him their salvation. Meanwhile, the former Austrian Chancellor is once again at the head of the OSCE mission for Albania, this time to secure funding for the country’s reconstruction programs.
