When will the criminals be finished! In shorter and more alarming form, this question would surely now permeate the entire atmosphere of Vlora, causing serious concern among the ordinary people of this troubled and impoverished city, which is still scrutinizing the administration, while unintentionally and as clashes began, according to the number and the troublemakers, with the officials in order to continuously raise the arts of strengthening public order. In any case, the process made it possible for the state police together with all local leaders and its forces to carry out a broad operation of vehicle and warehouse inspections. At the highest level of activity, as anti-smuggling specialists point out, this was the only way to break from city patrols. Thus, in the special operation a number of vehicles were blocked, a considerable quantity of suspicious goods was seized, and inspections were carried out in places where it had previously been difficult to intervene. The situation in the city required an immediate response, and this intervention was seen as a necessity for restoring order. Within the framework of the controls, according to police sources, documents, destinations and suspicious movements were checked at several border points and at the port. The operation was part of coordinated measures between the Ministry of Public Order, the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Directorate. Are the criminals kept in the crosshairs of the Ministry of Public Order?

... The Minister of Public Order responds to public opinion through the public statement of his spokesperson Challenge for the anti-smuggling forces, pressure against the image of the police As emphasized in the public statement issued one day earlier, the Minister of Public Order, Mr. Perikli Teta, is not unfamiliar with the accusations made against the current units, but stresses that the process of restoring order has still not ended and that pressure on the anti-smuggling forces is an attempt to discourage their activity. The statement praises the work done by the police structures and underlines that the reactions against it come from circles interested in hindering the fight against smuggling. According to it, media attacks and unproven insinuations against senior officials create a harmful climate and aim to undermine public trust. At the same time, the ministry expresses readiness to investigate any case denounced with facts. In the end, the statement reiterates that border and customs-point controls will continue without interruption. PAGE 2
