TIRANA—No changes are expected in the Majko government cabinet; no ministers will be moved. This is confirmed in a press release by the Ministry of Information, which states: In response to the announcements, comments and interpretations in the print and electronic media, which have intensified in recent days, concerning changes to several ministers in the government cabinet, we reiterate once again what we declared on this matter on behalf of the Government in our press release dated December 29, 1998: In democratic governance, changes to the government cabinet are entirely normal, but at present there are no plans for such changes. Had the need for changes in the government cabinet arisen, the Prime Minister would have discussed the matter in advance with the leaders of the parties of the “Alliance for the State.”
