800 special Milan agents smash the gang of foreigners in Lombardy that had the monopoly on heroin and prostitution trafficking in the Turkey - Balkans - Italy triangle.

MILAN - In the morning of the weekend, a special anti-crime unit of an Italian police force arrested 17 members of a large Albanian gang and seized 11 villas on the outskirts of Pescara [?], with a total value of several hundred thousand dollars; in all, around 30 defendants. According to the police, the arrests were made during raids on several hideouts and various locations used by Albanians. In addition to the two main arrestees, Ismet Delia, 26, and Agim Caci, 28, members of the heroin and prostitution trafficking branch, 14 other people were also arrested from Morocco, Algeria, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro. Weapons, tools, communication devices, documents and drugs were seized in the operation. The Italian police called the operation a heavy blow against international trafficking networks.
