TROPOJE—Yesterday, at around 11:00, in the area of boundary markers C-6 and C-6/4 in Tropojë , 15–20 Serbian soldiers entered our territory and suddenly opened fire on some shepherds. They attacked using infantry weapons and a heavy machine gun, as well as mortar shells. In self-defense, the shepherds returned fire, supported by residents of the village and by the area’s border police forces. After the exchange of fire lasted around two hours, the Serbian soldiers withdrew to their own territory. The exchange of fire caused no injuries to the police forces, the shepherds, or the local villagers.
