IN THE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLICANS On Monday, 8 June, at 9:00 a.m., in the hall of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, the first Congress of PRSH convened, a very important event for this party, for today and for the future. The Republicans came to this congress to take stock of their work and to guide the Party’s political line as well as possible for the future. They came to this congress after 17 months of struggle and efforts to bring down the dictatorship and establish democracy in Albania. A very short time for a political party, yet it has already been consolidated with a clear profile. It has proved itself through its wisdom and judgment before the people and the nation as a whole. The congress was declared open by Mr. Zef Bushati. To lead the congress, a presidium of 11 members was elected. The first Republican Congress was honored by the presence of a delegation of the Italian Republican Party led by Mr. Tavio Lavaxho, a delegation of the Republican Party of Kosovo led by vice-president Mr. Isuf Kuka, a delegation of the People's Democratic Party based in Tetovo, Macedonia, led by Mr. Iljaz Halimi, a delegation of the Democratic League of Kosovo led by its vice-president Mr. Anton Kola, and the representative of the Republic of Kosovo accredited in our country, Mr. Ali Aliu. The congress was also honored by the presence of representatives of the Democratic Party, the Social Democratic Party, the Labour Party, the People's League Party, as well as guests from various associations such as those of prisoners, political persecuted persons, etc. The congress was also honored by the presence of ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in our country, as well as many other guests. The report on behalf of the Republican Party leadership was delivered by Mr. Sabri Godo. * * * Afterwards, the delegations taking part in the congress greeted the proceedings. The vice-president of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Mr. Anton Kola, was given 3 minutes to speak and said: Ladies and gentlemen, I have the great pleasure today to greet this congress of the Albanian Republican Party here. On behalf of the Democratic League of Kosovo and President Rugova, your invitation to take part in this congress has honored us. I thank the leadership of PR and its esteemed chairman, Mr. Sabri Godo, for this invitation. Your party is one of the important actors in political life in Albania. Its great role and contribution lie in initiating democratic processes together with the Democratic Party and in dismantling the total communist system in Albania. With the beginning of the dismantling of this imposed communist system, a new and very important stage begins for Albanians in general. We are firmly convinced that your party, its members and sympathizers will be committed to deepening democratic processes in Albania. This will also be a major contribution to Kosovo and to all Albanians in our ethnic lands. Thank you! Dear friends, I come from martyr Kosovo and here I bring you the warm brotherly greetings of all the members of our sister party from Kosovo, based in Peja and throughout our country. The Congress of the Republican Party of Albania, which opens its proceedings today in Tirana, is a notable event in life and in comprehensive work under the new conditions and circumstances of a new Balkan and European order. NË KUVENDIN E REPUBLIKANËVE Ditën e Hënë më datë 8 Qershor në ora 9.00 në sallën e Akademisë së Arteve të Bukura në Tiranë u mblodh Kongresi i parë i PRSH një eveniment shumë i rëndësishëm i kësaj partie për sot e për të ardhmen. Republikanët erdhën në këtë kongres për të bërë bilancin e punës dhe për ta orientuar më së miri vijën politike të Partisë për të ardhmen. Ata erdhën në këtë kongres pas 17 muajsh lufte përpjekjesh për shembjen e diktaturës për vendosjen e demokracisë në Shqipëri. Një kohë kaq e shkurtë për një parti politike, por qe tash është konsoliduar me një profil të qartë. Ajo i ka dhënë provat me urtësinë dhe mençurinë e saj përballë popullit dhe kombit në tërësi. Kongresi e deklaroi të hapur z. Zef Bushati. Për të drejtuar kongresin u zgjodh një presidium i përbërë prej 11 vetash. Kongresi e parë të republikaneve e nderonin me praninë e delegacioni i Partisë Republikane Italiane i kryesuar nga zoti Tavio Lavaxho, delegacioni i Partisë Republikane të Kosovës i kryesuar nga nënkryetari si zoti Isuf Kuka, delegacioni i Partisë Demokratike Popullore me qendër në Tetovë të Maqedonisë i kryesuar nga zoti Iljaz Halimi, delegacioni i Lidhjes Demokratike të Kosovës i kryesuar nga nënkryetari i saj zoti Anton Kola, përfaqësuesi i Republikës së Kosovës i akredituar në vendin tonë zoti Ali Aliu. Kongresin e nderuan me pjesmarrjen e tyre përfaqësues të Partisë Demokratike, të Partisë Social Demokrate, të Partisë Laburiste, të Partisë Lidhja Popullore, të gjithashin të ftuar dhe nga shoqata të ndryshme si ajo e të burgosurve, të përndjekurve politikë, etj. Kongresin e nderuan me pjesmarrjen e tyre dhe ambasadorë e përfaqësues të misioneve diplomatike të akredituara në vendin tonë si dhe mjaft të ftuar të tjerë. Raportin në emër të komitetit drejtues të Partisë Republikane e mbajti zoti Sabri Godo. * * * Më pas Kongresin e përshëndetën delegacionet e mermim pjesë në PR punimet e Kongresit. Nënkryetari i Lidhjes Demokratike të Kosovës i qe morti fjalën 3 min zotri Anton Kola tha: Zonja dhe zotërinj, Kam kënaqësinë e madhe që sot këtu të përshëndes këtë kongres të Partisë Republikane Shqiptare. Në emër të Lidhjes Demokratike të Kosovës dhe të Presidentit Rugova. Ftesa juaj për të marrë pjesë në këtë kongres na ka nderuar. Falenderoj kryesinë e PR dhe kryetarin e saj të nderuar, zotin Sabri Godo, për këtë ftesë. Partia juaj është një ndër subjektet e rëndësishme të jetës politike në Shqipëri. Roli dhe kontributi i saj i madh është në nismën bashkë me PD të proceseve demokratike dhe në shkatërrimin e sistemit total komunist në Shqipëri. Me fillimin e shkatërrimit të këtij sistemi të imponuar komunist fillon një etapë e re, shumë e rëndësishme për shqiptarët në përgjithësi. Jemi fort të bindur se partia juaj, anëtarët e saj dhe simpatizantët do të jenë vendosur në thellimin e proceseve demokratike në Shqipëri. Kjo do të jetë një ndihmesë e madhe dhe për Kosovën dhe për të gjithë shqiptarët në trojet tona etnike. Ju faleminderit! Nënkryetari i delegacionit të partisë republikane të Kosovës zoti Isuf Kuka: Të dashur motra dhe vëllezër! Të nderuar miq Vij nga Kosova martire dhe këtu ju sjell përshëndetjet e nxehta vëllazërore të gjithë anëtarëve të Partisë simotër nga Kosova me seli në Pejë dhe në tërë vendin tonë. Kongresi i Partisë Republikane të Shqipërisë, i cili po hap sot punimet e tij në Tiranë, është një ngjarje e shënuar në jetën dhe punën gjithpërfshirëse e të kushte dhe rrethanat e reja të një rendi të ri ballkanik e evropian. Fillin e përgëzuam dhe ne shqiptarët pa ngurrim. NELL’ASSEMBLEA DEI REPUBBLICANI Lunedì 8 giugno, alle ore 9.00, nella sala dell’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Tirana si è riunito il primo Congresso del PRSH, un evento molto importante per questo partito, per oggi e per il futuro. I repubblicani sono venuti a questo congresso per fare il bilancio del lavoro e per orientare nel modo migliore la linea politica del Partito per il futuro. Sono giunti a questo congresso dopo 17 mesi di lotta e di sforzi per abbattere la dittatura e instaurare la democrazia in Albania. Un tempo così breve per un partito politico, ma che ormai si è consolidato con un profilo chiaro. Ha dato prova della sua saggezza e della sua intelligenza di fronte al popolo e alla nazione nel suo insieme. Il congresso è stato dichiarato aperto dal sig. Zef Bushati. Per dirigere il congresso è stato eletto un presidium composto da 11 membri. Il primo Congresso dei repubblicani è stato onorato dalla presenza della delegazione del Partito Repubblicano Italiano, guidata dal sig. Tavio Lavaxho, della delegazione del Partito Repubblicano del Kosovo, guidata dal vicepresidente sig. Isuf Kuka, della delegazione del Partito Democratico Popolare con sede a Tetova, in Macedonia, guidata dal sig. Iljaz Halimi, della delegazione della Lega Democratica del Kosovo, guidata dal suo vicepresidente sig. Anton Kola, e del rappresentante della Repubblica del Kosovo accreditato nel nostro paese, sig. Ali Aliu. Il congresso è stato onorato anche dalla presenza di rappresentanti del Partito Democratico, del Partito Socialdemocratico, del Partito Laburista, del Partito Lega Popolare, nonché di ospiti provenienti da varie associazioni come quelle dei detenuti, dei perseguitati politici, ecc. Il congresso è stato inoltre onorato dalla presenza di ambasciatori e rappresentanti delle missioni diplomatiche accreditate nel nostro paese, oltre a molti altri ospiti. La relazione a nome del comitato direttivo del Partito Repubblicano è stata tenuta dal sig. Sabri Godo. * * * In seguito, i delegati partecipanti ai lavori del congresso hanno rivolto il loro saluto. Il vicepresidente della Lega Democratica del Kosovo, sig. Anton Kola, ha avuto 3 minuti per intervenire e ha detto: Signore e signori, Ho il grande piacere di salutare oggi qui questo congresso del Partito Repubblicano Albanese. A nome della Lega Democratica del Kosovo e del Presidente Rugova, il vostro invito a prendere parte a questo congresso ci ha onorati. Ringrazio la dirigenza del PR e il suo stimato presidente, il sig. Sabri Godo, per questo invito. Il vostro partito è uno dei protagonisti importanti della vita politica in Albania. Il suo grande ruolo e contributo stanno nell’avvio, insieme al PD, dei processi democratici e nella distruzione del sistema comunista totalitario in Albania. Con l’inizio della distruzione di questo sistema comunista imposto comincia una nuova tappa, molto importante per gli albanesi in generale. Siamo fermamente convinti che il vostro partito, i suoi membri e i suoi simpatizzanti saranno impegnati nell’approfondimento dei processi democratici in Albania. Questo sarà anche un grande contributo per il Kosovo e per tutti gli albanesi nelle nostre terre etniche. Grazie! Il vicepresidente della delegazione del Partito Repubblicano del Kosovo, sig. Il Congresso del Partito Repubblicano dell’Albania, che oggi apre i suoi lavori a Tirana, è un avvenimento significativo nella vita e nel lavoro complessivo nelle nuove condizioni e circostanze di un nuovo ordine balcanico ed europeo. Anche noi albanesi ne abbiamo salutato l’avvio senza esitazione.
