Now, through the aid that will be given to Kosovo, this America has begun to show its true face more clearly, convincing us more and more that it will bring onto the stage of history and democracy one of the most developed states in the Balkans. (...) It rightly says that a symbol of democracy is America and that it is linking its interest with our fate. However, one must not forget the bark and bite of this dog? The interests of the United States are not the same as those of Albanians, so we should not think that we can find salvation and support only from them. They may fight in every circumstance and political event, but that does not mean that democracy will come with their help. On this road, all the leftists have turned against it and the others; the masses and the cadres are alike. What can truly come from the USA is real democracy, not the one flooded by forces that do not have democracy in mind.

Amerika, si vendi i demokracisë më të zhvilluar e si vendi më i fuqishëm i sistemit kapitalist, pati mbetur në mendjet e popullit shqiptar si shpresa e vetme për çlirimin nga diktatura komuniste, e sidomos në fillimet e tranzicionit kur në Shqipëri kryheshin krime të njëpasnjëshme politike. Tani, nëpërmjet ndihmave që do të jepen për Kosovën, kjo Amerikë ka filluar të vërë në sheshin e kalit të ri fytyrën e saj, duke na bindur gjithnjë e më shumë se ai që mbetet e ka me sjellë në skenën e historisë dhe demokratike një ndër shtetet më të zhvilluara në Ballkan. (...) Me të drejtë thotë se një qenër i simbolit demokratik është Amerika e se po e lidh interesin e saj me fatin tonë. Megjithatë, nuk duhet harruar dhe kanëmbanë e këtij qeni? Interesat e SHBA nuk janë të njëjta me ato të shqiptarëve, ndaj dhe nuk duhet të kujtojmë se mund të gjejmë shpëtim e mbështetje vetëm prej tyre. Ata mund t’i luftojë në çdo rrethanë dhe ngjarje politike, por kjo nuk do të thotë se demokracia do të vijë me ndihmën e tyre. Në këtë rrugë, të gjithë të majtët janë bërë kundër dhe të tjerët; masat e kuadrot janë të ngjashme. Ajo që vërtetë mund të vijë nga SHBA është demokracia e vërtetë, jo ajo e përmbytur nga forcat që s’kanë demokraci në mendje.

(...) L'Albania sta attirando alla sua soglia il popolo albanese, consapevole di staccarsi dallo spirito trapiantato dall'America, per rendere più forte la governance nel paese (...) Nel frattempo, il Kosovo, che ha assorbito con il suo aiuto il luogo della benedizione in un'onda di piegarsi alla scelta dei peccati, il sentimento della libertà di movimento e anche le sue libertà, sta attirando il suo amaro ritiro. L'America, come paese della democrazia più sviluppata e come paese più potente del sistema capitalistico, era rimasta nella mente del popolo albanese come l'unica speranza di liberazione dalla dittatura comunista, soprattutto agli inizi della transizione quando in Albania si commettevano crimini politici uno dopo l'altro. Ora, attraverso gli aiuti che saranno dati al Kosovo, questa America ha cominciato a mostrare più chiaramente il suo volto, convincendoci sempre di più che porterà sulla scena della storia e della democrazia uno degli stati più sviluppati dei Balcani. (...) Giustamente dice che un simbolo della democrazia è l'America e che sta collegando il suo interesse al nostro destino. Tuttavia, non bisogna dimenticare l'abbaiare e il morso di questo cane? Gli interessi degli USA non sono gli stessi di quelli degli albanesi, quindi non dobbiamo pensare di poter trovare salvezza e sostegno solo da loro. Essi possono combattere in ogni circostanza e evento politico, ma ciò non significa che la democrazia arriverà con il loro aiuto. Su questa strada, tutti i sinistra si sono schierati contro e gli altri; le masse e i quadri sono simili. Ciò che può davvero venire dagli USA è la vera democrazia, non quella sommersa da forze che non hanno la democrazia in mente.
