Visas only for the Greek minority — doubts about Greek sincerity...

...The failure to issue long-term visas to Albanian emigrants makes one suspect that the Greek authorities consider a deterioration in Albanian-Greek relations possible and therefore do not wish to cause drama and acts of mass deportation of Albanian emigrants... page 4

Farmers feel insecure about the government’s title deed

...The farmer cannot accept the call and well-wish “enjoy the land,” since this would be credible if it came from the former owner himself, not from the state? The farmer sees that the statement “this is the fairest allocation for the majority” is also weightless. In reality, the element of equality claimed by the DP and its Government is false. One example: in one former cooperative, a village gets 2 dynym of land per person, while another village gets 4 dynym!…

GODO: “Knock on every door”

Open letter: To the District Steering Committees of the Republican Party Only in this way can the rejection of the sale and purchase of land be achieved Open letter: To the District Steering Committees of the Republican Party GODO: “Knock on every door” Only in this way can the rejection of the sale-and-purchase of land be achieved The LDSH petition to block the draft law on the sale and purchase of land is receiving strong support. More noticeable results have been achieved in some branches of the Republican Party. By June 24, 20 thousand signatures had been submitted to the Tirana branch. Korça, Durrës, Malësia e Madhe, Kurbin, and Pogradec have reached the 10-thousand-signature mark. The Kurbin branch has reached 89% of the possible signatures and that of Malësia e Madhe 60%. But other branches, such as Mirdita, Dibra, Gjirokastra, Shkodra, Peqini, Fieri, Lushnja, Mati, Puka, etc., are at low percentages. I think the major differences in the branches’ results are simply subjective. Some steering committees have collected 10 times fewer than Kurbin and Malësia e Madhe, which have no vehicles. In relation to population, Malësia e Madhe has collected 5 times more signatures than Shkodra. The figures are discouraging, but they are also the most important thing. It all comes down to willingness, to persevering in finding ways. Perhaps it is not possible for all members of the Steering Committee to go to every commune, but the section and sub-branch chairpersons can be called to the center. Everyone can find ways through their own republican activity, without losing sight of achieving the goal. Lists have been distributed in the villages, and soon we will have doubled the results recorded on June 24. At the same time, the organizations are also working together to push back the communist threat and achieve the victory of true democracy. The petition to defeat the criminal law on the sale and purchase of land is a great service to the country, because it will give the future parliament the opportunity to restore private ownership of land, laying the foundations of the rule of law. At the same time, this petition can demonstrate the reach each organization of the League has among the electorate, and that of the League as a whole. In this respect, the petition is a campaign that deserves the greatest care and commitment. It is certain that if we knock on every citizen’s door and reach every village, the Right-wing League will “easily” collect enough signatures to make the impossible possible. Can every PR member collect 10 signatures? If so, we will achieve a truly excellent result. Then only one thing remains to be done: meet every Republican and ask them for 10 signatures. Or have 5 Republicans together fill out one signature sheet. I am convinced that most Republicans would do such a thing immediately. Great tasks are usually accomplished in the simplest ways. I ask all the district steering committees to consider this matter urgently and to successfully complete, in the next two weeks, one of the Republican Party’s most extensive activities, by Gjirokastra, Shkodra, Peqini, Fieri, Lushnja, Mati, Puka, etc., are performing poorly. simply subjective. Some governing committees have been taking things slowly and always cling to current shortages: “We have no cars, we have no money.” But Gjirokastra, which has a vehicle, is — can, the other entities of the League are also working. The good coordination seen in many districts demonstrates the League’s strength and our determination to remain at the level every village, the Right League will “easily” collect enough signatures to make the approval of the law on the sale and purchase of land impossible. As the Republican Party, let us put the issue forward in a — I ask all governing committees in the districts to examine this matter urgently and, over the next two weeks, successfully complete one of the Republican Party’s largest activities, thereby fully justifying our participation in the League. Zhelev–Berisha–Gligorov meeting denied

The Macedonian press published yesterday a denial by the spokesperson for Bulgarian President Zhelev, issued the day before yesterday, concerning the news circulated by the MAK PRES agency about an imminent meeting of Presidents Zhelev, Berisha, and Gligorov. In this denial, the spokesperson for the Bulgarian presidency states that President Zhelev has not planned such a meeting and therefore considers news of this kind unfounded.

Haag, an undesirable person

According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, German citizen Gerhard Haag, who was written about in the latest issue of the newspaper “Dita Informacion,” has been barred from entering Albania because he has been engaged in preaching and spreading Scientology. The Albanian authorities have enforced this measure since 2. 3. 1995, both against Gerhard Haag and his associate Elias Tsalkis.

We inform the public that there is no cause for concern. The recently unearthed lists were not anti-meat lists—lists of isolation (as some uninformed but well-meaning communist might say); they were simply lists of meat, which happened to end up in the security archives. The recent misuse of these lists shows that the time when such lists were necessary (that is, for meat) was not so impossible to talk about after all. We inform those who were not on the lists but ate meat at the time: this fact is not agj, Meat was eaten outside. There is no point in being alarmed about these lists. At that time all of Albania was a concentration camp, and there was no need to make lists of only 100,000 people! A major event that took place recently revealed to us that files cannot be both fabrications and valid for the qyq. Then, after all, those who had been ministers did not need files, since our people had it as a party duty to help the security service, the party’s and the people’s beloved weapon. The security service has not died because communism has not died either. When communism is resurrected, it will find the security service waiting at its head, kissing it. Whenever I feel nostalgic for the security service, I leaf through the files with nostalgia. We miss reporting in writing and orally. People are needlessly giving us a hard time. We are dissidents. Let the files be opened and it will be seen what truth we have told; we have never lied…

Models and modalities of Albanian-Greek relations

However, scholarship to date, whether Albanian, Greek, or generally non-Albanian, has not produced historical facts or empirical data showing when, where, or how official Greek policy has ever supported Albania and the Albanians, even on a single occasion. Not even cases comparable to Yugoslavia’s and Mojsije Pijade’s stance at the Paris Peace Conference in 1946 can be found… page 5
