The alarm against “right-wing extremism”: an expression of the struggle against the Right
At a meeting held a few days ago with local leaders of the PD, after speaking about the successes of these four years in governing the country and the PD’s ambitions for the future, President Berisha, while talking about the PD’s alliances with other political forces, stated among other things that “those with left-wing and right-wing extremists are excluded from these alliances.”
To speak of alliances or of the struggle against right-wing or left-wing extremism, one must first accept that such currents exist. As for left-wing extremism, it would be a mistake with fatal consequences not only to deny it, but even to downplay it. The 50-year Stalinist dictatorship that ruled in Albania has left very deep marks on all aspects of our life, and this not only within left-wing political forces, but also among various individuals who endlessly give lectures about the danger of the restoration of communism and swear blind that they are first-hour anti-communists. It is an undeniable fact, but also a logical one, that the Socialist Party is dominated by extreme left-wing elements, precisely because of the contingent that makes up this party and the legacy of the mentality that affects the functioning of its life, inherited from the predecessor of today’s socialists, the PPSH.
Indeed, faced with such a fact, the propaganda frenzy of the PD, concerning certain elements within the ranks of this party, called “Malëshovists,” and even less the role they may have in reforming the PS, seems inappropriate.
But the cries and alarms about the so-called “right-wing extremism” are completely unfounded. Bearing in mind what has been mentioned above regarding the truthful dictatorship of the past 50 years, one would have to be alarmed by the “danger” coming from “right-wing extremism”; the leaders of the PD should be concerned about the efforts through which the right-wing forces in Albania had to pass in order to create their identity and then consolidate themselves, if their calls to fight communism are sincere.
Surely, the leadership of the PD considers the legitimate demands of lawful owners, who seek the return of their property, in the broadest sense, of “agricultural land,” to be “right-wing extremism.” But if we cast our eyes for just a moment beyond our window to see how things are done in the world, then we would

Electoral law within January?
“Electoral draft law within January.” That was the promise made by Kryonari at the last meeting of the Presidium of the People’s Assembly.
At that time the talk was about the Opposition’s project. Later the same thing was said for the New Year; according to the deputy speaker of parliament, Vukaj, the majority’s entry will also continue, Spaci. The warning concerned the opposition’s project, which was being considered in the PD and at the Assembly for discussion, and is being drafted in the Government, specifically the bill on elections in the office of Kosovari, the secretary general to secure local coercion. Which draft law is the urgency of bringing this draft item to Parliament? This law, in plenary session today, will be decided by Speaker Arbnori, of the Ministry of Culture. The opposition is hit otherwise if he wishes, the deputies themselves. With the absolute majority of the PD, the pro-PD line represented by Shehu, this opposition really faces a draft law that leaves only 15 at risk of being examined, while the deputies for proportionality its approval remains far off.
Another reason for this is the different situation between the two projects. According to the government’s latest statement, even more so because the Government of the Secretary General of the PD is democratic. For this reason Shehu, the dominant view in the PD seems far from the opposition-opposition agreement, which could extend to other so-called technical plans.

The US will open an office in Pristina
US Assistant Secretary of State Richard Holbrooke, in an interview with Voice of America, said that Washington has held extensive talks with Belgrade and hopes that the situation of the Albanians of Kosovo will improve soon.
Holbrooke said he is optimistic about reducing tensions in Kosovo. He said that we will open an office in Pristina. The US will also take other steps and hopes to ease tensions in Kosovo.
Holbrooke condemned the repressive policy that Serbia has pursued in Kosovo and described the treatment of Albanians as very bad. The US, Holbrooke said, is calling for Albanians to enjoy full rights.

I am against the genocide law, because it has not been heard of before in any country with developed democracy for spies to be thrown into the streets with a scrap of paper from a grocer. This is against the norms and human rights and very dangerous for Albanian society.
Have you thought for a moment about what an unemployed spy can do? Do you know that this profession has attracted and will again attract a horde of people with and without money.
Now the roads will be privatized. Owners who cannot get their property back will now have the opportunity to get roads. The government gave the roads to the owners. Securities will now be used for the privatization of sweet rivers.
