It is time for compromise / Stubbornness like a mule brings only trouble

[?] has the right to protest and to express opposition through demonstrations. In many countries, politics is not divided by such formal lines. That was also the case in Albania during the era of pluralism, when parties and politicians repeatedly showed that democracy works through compromise and agreement. Today we do not have a political side with which the government can deal or negotiate, but that does not mean we should return to the practice of disrupting future elections. Yesterday, the Central Election Commission approved the final results for 60 zones, of which 17 zones have filed appeals with the Central Commission. The name of the PDS chairman, Sali Berisha, was among the first to be included in the election results in the Tirana district. The PDS has filed 17 appeals in 17 zones. On the other hand, the PS has submitted certain complaints about violations of election rules in 17 zones. If a zone is reopened for review, then it is repeated. The Commission decided to approve results only for the zones where there were no complaints. Much of the results from other zones remain unknown. One week until the third round The Central Election Commission has decided to examine the appeals in 17 zones and request their re-count/reconsideration, while on the other hand the opposition parties do not want to take part in the vote. The Socialist Party and the Republican Party have stated that they will take part in the third round only if the necessary clarifications are made about the results. The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, on Tuesday, besides insisting on his participation in the third round, said that the opposition should take part in all electoral procedures. The 17 zones in which appeals were filed should be reviewed again. From 60 zones, the Central Commission approves 17; imitation 17

The Central Election Commission has decided to examine the appeals in 17 zones and request their reconsideration, while on the other hand the opposition parties do not want to take part in the vote. The Socialist Party and the Republican Party have stated that they will take part in the third round only if the necessary clarifications are made about the results.

The Socialists will fight as an opposition outside Parliament

The Socialists expressed themselves yesterday calmly but disappointedly. Earlier they said that Skënder Gjinushi will in the future make use of the Socialist parliament. In every country in the world, the left must be taken very seriously, whereas it would be absurd to conduct fair elections with only 300 people. The Socialists stressed that they will seek to bypass the old rules and that it should be done on 16 August. Apart from those who have not yet become MPs, these elections should be the same. In this way, only some PDS deputies from the youth wing of Skënder Gjinushi would not be able to take part, and the Socialists will have to find a way to work with the new parliament and approve more than one category. Thus, after pressure, coalition and conflict, it has asked that new elections of the democrats be held for the coming parliament. All opposition candidates should be gathered. In addition, the Socialists are against it and have even submitted it on 16 August. Apart from the same criterion given to parliament by the elected opposition voters, they are determined to end all protests against the democrats. Apart from the same criterion given to parliament, the Socialists said that they want everything to be handled carefully and that all democratic rules be established, including participation in Parliament. However, if there are no clarifications, they are convinced they will remain outside Parliament and continue to fight in the streets.

PS & RO will not take part in the third round

Why? The Central Election Commission has decided to examine the appeals in 17 zones and request their reconsideration, while on the other hand the opposition parties do not want to take part in the vote. The Socialist Party and the Republican Party have stated that they will take part in the third round only if the necessary clarifications are made about the results.
