With these Polish verses, the Socialist secretary-general, Rexhep Mejdani, addressed the young people of his party, those holding flags in their hands...
A hue that evoked a sense of power (the Eurosocialist flags are blue...) dominated the hall of the Palace of Congresses, where the young Socialists were meeting with their leaders, but they seemed to have forgotten the greatest leader, the imprisoned Fatos Nano, whom they did not mention even once during the meeting.
Mejdani, who expects victory on October 20, forgot when he said, “We will win the May 26 elections,” but Meta did not forget to say: “Victory on October 20 will speed up the path toward new elections.”

Enver Hoxha’s son-in-law in handcuffs
Charge: Collaboration with a politically motivated terrorist organization accused of Kaloshi’s murder
Around 30 people were taken in for questioning throughout yesterday by Tirana police. It is reported that the questioning and detentions are part of efforts to solve the mystery surrounding the murder of the head of Albania’s prisons, Bujar Kaloshi. As was also reported in the press yesterday, Bujar Kaloshi was killed by a terrorist organization with a political character. After the two people arrested yesterday, who admitted responsibility for the murder committed on the morning of July 26, the name of the former dictator Hoxha’s son-in-law stands out among those arrested today. Architect Klement Kolaneci has been taken into custody. According to inside sources, the trail leading to the detention of members of the Hoxha family came through the statements of two technicians who took part in the construction of a villa designed by Kolaneci; they too have been identified as members of the organization.
Among the investigations into the links and activities of the organization described as terrorist and politically motivated, the location of its meetings stands out: Bënca. Naturally, mentioning Bënca brings to mind, even involuntarily, Bënca prison and the most famous prisoner in its cells, Nano. So far, there is not the slightest evidence implicating the name of the imprisoned Socialist leader in the organization in question.
Investigations are continuing, and their conclusion is seen as the principal blow against all the crime of recent years.
