The Alliance has chosen its time

Following a meeting of the National Council of Balli Kombëtar, 50 Par[t?]liamentarians decided to declare themselves outside the Albanian Right-Wing Alliance. Yesterday, the Legalità Movement Party also made such a declaration at Mr. Durollari’s press conference. The Albanian Right-Wing Alliance, or LDSH for short, was formed almost two years ago. It resulted from the grouping of several Albanian political forces and right-wing associations, which declared their alliance on the basis of a 14-point program. LDSH was a genuine Albanian opposition and greatly helped strengthen the country’s politics as a whole and earn it credibility. As a political alliance at that time, it was successful in Albania. Its operating model was highly democratic and can still serve as an example of tolerance and political culture. LDSH decisions were made collectively, and its leader rotated from one force to another on the basis of a six-month mandate. The Albanian Right-Wing Alliance nevertheless failed to survive for many political and other reasons. Mr. Miku will remain a friend of ours

There are currently 600 Albanian students pursuing their studies in Romania. Meanwhile, the volume of trade between the two countries reached 40 million dollars last year. Mr. Miku is optimistic that the new democratic developments in Romania will pave the way for further development of good relations between Albania and Romania. Furthermore, Mr. Miku, as someone knowledgeable about and fond of Albania, has also made a valuable personal contribution to promoting Albania’s cultural and spiritual values in Romania. He has contributed to the publication in his country of several literary works by I. Kadare, S. Godo, T. Laço, etc. Page 2
