PD with motionists again?
- Tritan Shehu: They are dreams
- Krasniqi objects: “They have no reason”
- Tritan Shehu: They are dreams - Krasniqi objects: “They have no reason” PD under the “fever” of new motionists?!... For some time, political circles have been talking about the possibility of creating a new parliamentary group within the PD. According to the opinion in these circles, Alfred Serreqi, Dashamir Shehi, Bashkim Kopliku and other well-known and lesser-known MPs from the ranks of the ruling party are said to be planning a major break from the PD group. According to the same information, this may happen in the future, at the next meeting of the PD parliamentary group. The idea of new motionists within the PD has been opposed by the PD’s senior leadership, which has called such speculation an attempt by opposition parties to create divisions in the PD. PD. Afrim Krasniqi, a member of the PD leadership, has firmly dismissed the possibility of a statement by the “motionists.” This conviction, which evidently is not his alone, has its own reasons. “I don’t believe such a thing will happen, since they are PD leaders and are engaged in its political life and activities,” Krasniqi said last night. According to him, this is a strong reason to believe the opposite of what is being said. On the other hand, Krasniqi says, another reason not to believe the “fabrication” by the press and the opposition is that they have not expressed views that would suggest they are against the PD, that they hold different positions, or that they intend to create a new parliamentary group. Krasniqi calls all the rumors about a new group of opposition members within the PD malicious, and says they are an attempt by the left-wing opposition to sow discord within the PD. The PD chairman, Tritan Shehu, shared the same view, saying that all this is nothing but dreams. While the truth or otherwise of Krasniqi’s statement is expected to become clear this Monday, what stands out is that among this new group, rumored to be motionists, are friends of Hajdari who, in fact, are not opposing him. After repeatedly opposing bills introduced by the PD group, Dashamir Shehi, former deputy prime minister in Meksi I’s government, has recently been regarded as Hajdari’s main supporter. The press has also named Secrecy, Kopliku, Malasi and Musaraj as being firmly in this position. Hajdari was considered the driving force behind such a grouping, but after Shehi’s opposition and Kopliku’s abstention, the “promotion” of new motionists within the PD is thought to be almost impossible. Such figures, despite their share of votes in the past, are not thought to have this kind of support from MPs, much less from the PD electorate. On the other hand, there is Berisha’s campaign against the motionists, as well as their “lati” outside the PD. Nevertheless, in the absence of the PS, Parliament needs an opposition. Whatever happens, whether they are able to do so or not, the MPs rumored to be PD’s future opponents appear set to be at the center of press attention in the coming days. At least until Monday, when they will declare themselves separate from the PD, or entirely within its ranks.

Hajdari will meet Xheka
Azem Hajdari and Valer Xheka will meet again within a month at the Court of Appeal. A five-point protest against the decision of the Tirana court dated December 18, 1996, together with the case file for this trial, has arrived at the Court of Appeal. The protest against the decision of Judge Gjergji Pojani was filed by Azem Hajdari himself, president of the BSPSH, who was defeated by the Tirana court. The Tirana court’s decision is unjust and unsupported by law, the protest states.
Hajdari has now requested that the court of final instance reconsider his request in an open trial.
