the health of the government he leads is extremely worrying. Berisha, in cooperation with the political parties, brought forth the Fino government amid an extremely grave situation and many difficulties; before it has even been in office for a month and a half, while it is still in its infancy, they want to throw it into the sewer of dirty politics. Although Berisha’s cronies called it a great success and a tolerant concession, before the ink on the agreement signatures had dried, the attacks began in their familiar PPSH style, in which there are neither scruples nor ethical or moral boundaries. Apparently, deeply regretful about the little formal power they relinquished, they want to return to square one, by fighting openly or creating an administrative vacuum among government members who are not their own. Those who devised it know how a government can operate without even having the right to give orders to the guards. This behavior can now be said to be steering National Reconciliation toward reconciliation with Berisha. The socialists apparently think that perhaps they are secretly trying to influence Fino to wrest another piece in their favor, but the last two blows—the first, Agim Shehu, and the second, the prefects—have knocked the Prime Minister out.
With all guns blazing—through statements, the press, and television—the DP champions Shehu and praises the activity of the Minister of the Interior to the skies. It seems that the Prime Minister can no longer command the government table unless he gets approval from the taciturn Belul. Mr. Fino should remind himself and others that he showed courage when he took it upon himself to carry the country’s destiny on his shoulders, while those who are pressuring him today were hiding in holes. The path that has been embarked upon cannot be abandoned halfway, especially when Berisha and the DP want to run the state from the Ministry of the Interior, installing Belul as “de facto” prime minister and Agim as his deputy.
