Politics of anxiety
The fate of the Fino government in the hands of the Celo-Vukaj duet[?]
It seems that the renewed reconciliation among Albanians remains under threat. Albanians seem condemned to live through daily anxieties, and although grim news reports are never lacking, politics continues to play cynically. Death reaps human lives every day.
The Qafë-Shtamë incident, besides the tears of grief caused by the family deaths, should lead [someone] to resign, because that would provide a lesson for state officials and politicians who do not understand this kind of institution. Painful incidents are recorded almost every day. Qafë-Shtamë was an “Otranto” on Albanian soil. After the day Vukaj was questioned in Parliament, the explosions at the military depots seem to have become more frequent. Could it be a coincidence! The residents of the areas around the military depots wake up in anxiety about tragedies. Their lives are being undermined. Political life continues to be a minefield. The Fino government has more support outside Albania than within its borders. Cunning threatens the short career of the short-statured Fino.
On the other hand, within the government (but more so outside it) an unrestrained competition is underway: Which ministry will have more incidents today or tomorrow? And behind the ministries are the parties, the two big ones ... Albanians are anxious. The two major parties continue to behave as if nothing unusual had happened in Albania, as if life were proceeding normally. But anxiety is among us. What will tomorrow bring us? The answer to this question is also filled with anxiety, so let the question remain rhetorical.
Grim news is never in short supply; politics continues to play cynically. Death claims of sorrow caused by the deaths of entire families, is also an ominous portent for tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the bombshells from the country’s big parties, instead of a fresh expression of condolences, instead of offering comfort, rub their hands and shout: “Resignation!” In fact, it would be to the credit of Socialist Minister Vukaj
