The Democratic Party is holding Albania hostage
Unclear opening line: [uncertain].
The March 9 agreement has been reduced to zero. On the eve of the new elections, the Democratic Party is trying by every means to restore the level of its political protest, but no one agreed to lower it.
With these unresolved actions, the new government of its representatives and veterans will ultimately become a burden in its own role if it does not manage to be overthrown wisely. If the new elections and the stability of the government are placed under the conditions demanded by the DP, and if Albanian politicians do not become arbiters of their own agreements and solutions, Albania will enter a long and dangerous road. The new interim government will be successful only if it is based on fair elections. The opposite would very quickly lead us into a new crisis.
This is the reason, though not for everyone, that we return once again to the Albanian problem. The whole world is now focused on Albania with the aim of helping to resolve the crisis. Any foreign intervention or lesson coming from outside must be fruitful within the framework of an agreement for clear changes. The DP is trying to put Albanian politics into an impasse, refusing to accept that the time has come for a government brought down by its own internal conflicts.
The nine parties, which declared that municipal and parliamentary elections would be held through the March 9 agreement, have talked with one another and with the DP, since the DP is trying to exclude even the other parties from the talks. The DP is trying to put the entire path of national stabilization into an impasse, refusing to accept that it must submit to the responsibility of its own decisions. It is impossible to have stability in a country that has gone through many upheavals when one party decides not to accept this path.
There is no reason for Albania to be portrayed as irresponsible toward itself. This is an attempt to solve problems with the help of elections. Only this path can achieve stability in Albania. The new interim government must be on an open and transparent mission, to give all Albanians the chance to feel represented. If the DP is afraid to take part in the elections, that does not mean it should remain in an endless battle. The party cannot hold the country’s future hostage.
In the end, there is no reason to think that Albania should be excluded from the world because of its crisis. People must know that only through dialogue and fair elections can one move forward.
If the Democratic Party makes the country’s future hostage, it takes responsibility for the consequences.
The Albanian press focuses on the truth in order to help Albania emerge from the crisis.
