With bombs heading into the elections

The social pact—a farce signed with dynamite When the PD and PS lock horns, armed factions cross weapons Yesterday, in the heart of the capital, at the foot of one of the ministries overseen by socialist Deputy Minister Fino, at the establishment of the Secretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior, socialist Lush Përpali, what one of the newspapers had warned about as a rumor the previous day took place: the explosion. The prediction that “Lush Përpali’s restaurant will be blown up” was the most accurate forecast made by the Albanian press. What is happening on the eve of these elections? Someone wants the Albanian crisis resolved not with a free vote, but with the barrel of a gun and the language of bombs. [Damaged/unclear passage.] We will go to the elections through explosions! It seems that the fate of the votes will be decided by bombs, explosives, Kalashnikovs. Armed groups, gangs, criminals want to hold Albania hostage; they are certainly not under the command of the small parties. When the two big parties lock horns, the armed factions cross weapons, while the victims are innocent citizens. One side’s owner has been declared. The Democratic Party has handed the Socialist Party the deed of ownership for the committees of the Lug, while the PS, for its part, explains that the reprisals are not carried out by the committees, but by PD gangs. Yesterday’s incident has given socialists free rein to accuse the PD and its factions of the powerful explosion that massacred innocent citizens. Yesterday’s calamity, besides the citizens, terror, tears, and anguish, also featured the ferocity of the security forces, who, [word unclear] (or pretending to be) because of their rapid loss, used violence against journalists and did not let them do their job and report on the incident. The newspaper “Albania,” the day before the establishment was blown up, had reported a phone call threatening to plant a bomb in revenge for the massacre of guards in Cerrik, while yesterday the police were asking journalists! What is happening in Albania, plunged into the terror of a mad struggle for armchairs? On the one hand, the social pact is trumpeted; on the other, a bomb explodes and innocent people are killed. Everything happening on the eve of these elections is nothing but a host of paradoxes. Those who sign the social pact or trumpet it do nothing but manufacture farces with tragic consequences. On the one hand, the message is: Let opponents campaign freely for votes. On the other, bombs are detonated! Would it not be better to resolve the crisis, which politics has nearly [unclear], with a free vote and not with the barrels of guns?
