President, the PD-PS “transmission belt”

PS tactic to reduce the number and dismiss the leaders In the strategy of the new Socialist government, the “broad” reform at the base seems to be preceded by a mild institutional reform at the top of the state pyramid. President Meidani, on the initiative of lawmakers, requested that the High Council of Justice be made up of thirteen members and not nine, as had been the case during PD rule. In accordance with the president’s wishes, it was also decided that the Supervisory Council of the State Bank should expand its staff with several other members, while the “expansion phenomenon” was first applied at RTVSH, where the dividend from the past was left untouched and only other members were added to the new Governing Council. The unification and preservation of the old status quo of the high state pyramid, in its basic links, which include the justice system, the power of the electronic media and the banking system, has begun to create the conviction that the neo-communist twin sisters PS and PD have managed only a mechanical change of places, according to the Trieste and Rome models. The institution of the President, which after the June elections is represented by honorary Meidani, in the PD’s government-opposition relations, is nothing more than the symbol of the “transmission belt” that links and unlinks these two political formations for interests dictated reciprocally by both sides. The correlation between PS and PD and vice versa, perfectly camouflaged to assimilate the mass electorate and bipolarize Albanian political life, seriously threatens and fully compromises the future of the rule of law and democracy. In this context, the constitution, even if adopted, will be crippled in its constitutional essence if it is influenced by the spirit of neo-communist clans. Representatives of the government and of the self-styled “democratic opposition” will make every effort to ensure that the basic rights of Man are not respected in the founding document of the state, including the right to free and inheritable property. The pact of the two political clans, PD-PS, to bury the sanctity of property will permanently move Albania away from the capitalist vision, dedicating it to a “social market economy”.
