Parliament on trial?!

PD-pyramid opposition. The position of this party after losing the June elections is paradoxical. The leadership of the PD is still not aware of the defeat, since it plays opposition with worn-out and unsustainable cards. Two pro-PD daily newspapers have recently tried to convince democratic supporters that the only chance to return to power is built on the collapse of the existing borrowing companies. “Albania” and “RD” have been overly zealous in concocting an absurd story, according to which one of the largest Albanian companies has sued the new socialist government through lawyer Nigjel. It is probably clear to anyone with even basic knowledge of law that the government cannot be sued for deciding to apply a law approved by the only legislative body, the Albanian Parliament. After the law is approved, in this case the “transparency law”, firms and companies affected by it, if it is found that constitutional provisions have been violated, may обратиться to the Constitutional Court for the law, or specific articles of it, to be repealed. This procedure is normal in a democratic state. From sources close to the borrowing companies, it is learned that, at the request of the company presidents, legal proceedings for the reconsideration of the law have begun. The Constitutional Court will be the one to decide whether this law should be fully implemented or only partially. The government spokesman should have publicly clarified the government’s position on laws in general and on the law in question in particular. The government’s silence shows that it does not know its own powers and is completely impotent in responding to the PD opposition’s revanche. In the position where the current opposition stands today, it would not be surprising to hear one day that even the socialist majority Parliament has been blown up! Sunk in a complete crisis of alternatives and ideas, the PD opposition can find no other propaganda argument than the phenomenon of usury. The leaders of the PD are pathologically convinced that usury, just as it brought the PS to power, will also bring it down in a short time. In fact, these arguments are also fed by the socialist government’s stance toward the existing companies. Although borrowing is a closed process, since the depositing of money was interrupted, the government stubbornly seeks to blindly apply a ready-made law approved in cooperation with the IMF, even though the burden of the loss of hundreds of thousands of Albanians will increase the tribute on citizens’ backs. Moreover, the transparency law has been politicized even before its implementation has begun. The so-called “temporary administrators”, who are not even recognized as accountants, see the transparency process as a party task that must be carried out. Thus, the coming and going of a government has forgotten that the market economy is legitimate, where private property is valued as sacred.
