The creation of the High Supervisory Council is only a reminiscence of the “Worker and Peasant control” that was widely applied during the time when dictator Hoxha ruled. The return of the PD to Parliament significantly improves its international image, in addition to institutionalizing its role as an opposition party. The parliamentary group of this party will now face the strong political debates directly. The main issue of Minister Malaj during the expected interpellation is expected to increase political capital in favor of the Democrats. The people are very sensitive to the pyramid-scheme problem, and the “ex cathedra” statements of senior PS officials revive the violent precedent. The PD has seized the political moment, but the Right must present its own alternatives, so as not to become once again an appendage of the Democrats' revanche.
