Here is why Berisha will be elected DP chairman

Even because this is what the Socialists want There is no doubt that the chairman of the Democratic Party will be elected—the doctor. This was clear yesterday from the hall’s ovations, the discussions among the faithful, and the selection of delegates and teams that lead the Party at the grassroots level. The reasons Berisha will be re-elected to the post—which, in fact, de facto, he has never relinquished—are ... he will return to the throne because his loyalists demand it, and those who have benefited from his being at the head of the DP demand it. They are the ones who, as former Prime Minister Meksi says, are nobodies but pretend that without them the DP would not be able to survive. Berisha is wanted by those who see the Party as a flock that moves like sheep in the heat, under the shepherd’s crook. He is wanted by those who feel like vomiting when they hear a voice that differs from that of the sovereign. He is wanted by those who are ready to execute the factionalists; by those who want to build the Party and power around nepotism; by those who, when in power, trusted only violence and wanted to see only the commander’s face on TV. Berisha will be re-elected chairman because he has worked carefully for a long time. The commander has found some fault—or, God forbid, some file—on each of those who serve him or try to oppose him. Berisha will also be DP chairman for the simple reason that this is what the SP wants. The left-wing coalition, led by the Socialist majority, has an easier time with a leader of the largest opposition party of Berisha’s stature: a man spent by his time as president, responsible for what happened in the army and SHIK, for the collapse of the state, responsible for the pyramid schemes that ruined the people, responsible for the victims of the most insane war on the globe, divisive and primitively biased. The Socialists remind Berisha of these things constantly, whenever he might dare to attack the Government. Finally, Berisha will be elected head of the DP also because he has given his word that he will go to Brussels. If he is not elected, there is no point in going to Brussels. Selami waiting for a long time. Will Berisha fall?
