Vranicki gives a lecture, but the Albanians have nowhere to hear it. The European commissioner really is failing to understand Albanian politics. He knows how to show sincerity and openness with journalists. With European diplomacy, he has laid bare a fact: Albanian politicians have forgotten what they said after the elections. They had given Vranicki their word that they would recognize the elections and that they would work not for their own interests, but for the interests of the Albanian people. Not even 4 months have passed since the showdown, and they are already trampling with both feet, both from power and from the opposition. The chair has made those in power euphoric, and they are trampling the opposition underfoot, especially those employed in the state administration; they are inflaming conflicts instead of reconciling them, rushing to take revenge on the DP by exploiting a recruiting hatred that it had created through the use of force. On the other hand, the opposition is also not thinking about the people, but has set its sights on the armchairs of power, out of fear that time will cool things down and that they want to return at any cost, without respecting the rules of the political game. The strategy built by the opposition is, in fact, making governing easier for the socialists. Making noise does not mean investing in tomorrow. Power does not come with noise, but with opposition. This people knows how to judge, knows how to distinguish noise from opposition, and if it becomes convinced that you, as the opposition, know how to govern better, it will bring you to power sooner than you expect. It is enough to recall the protests and press conferences held so far, and the impression the opposition has had from them, to arrive at the conviction that the opposition is fighting windmills. The people have the right to suspect that there is a game between the government and the opposition and nothing more. In both camps former communist elements dominate, and that alone is enough to prejudice both the opposition and the government. Let us recall only the stark fact that "Bashkimi për Demokraci", 5 weeks after the Court of Cassation’s decision on the innocence of the former old nomenklatura, remembers to blare out a warning that it will turn to international courts. Where was Adam? Either politics has been seized by sclerosis, or it is interested in the confusion of actions, the noise and not concrete results. If the opposition is acting like this, it is hard to see the socialists ever leaving power. The tactic of tearing oneself apart in fear, of hanging protests in the form of noise, does not lead to power. But will the day come when Albanian politics respects itself? Yesterday Vranicki once again recalled devils and angels. It took him coming to Albania for the last time for Albanian politicians to learn that even devils were once angels. Yes, and what is the difference, if possible, let it be seen in Albania: which ones have remained angels and which ones have turned into devils.
