From London to London. The “closed circus” of international diplomacy. The Contact Group is on the verge of a new agreement for Kosovo: are the threats and ultimatums beginning in London? Today the draft of the six member states of the Contact Group on resolving the Kosovo crisis is being presented, but does it also include June 4? According to diplomatic sources, this agreement does not foresee the withdrawal of Serbian security forces from Kosovo. In the end, what remains is only the will to urge Milosevic to accept the plan. While in Paris there had been hope for a serious start to resolving the crisis, in London we are dealing with a complete abandonment of diplomatic action. The six member states of the Contact Group have had their hopes for a visible diplomatic initiative dashed, despite taking on a major effort for Kosovo. According to diplomatic sources, an attempt has been made to set the date for deploying international forces in Kosovo, while so far there has been no clear decision on the withdrawal of Serbian forces. In the absence of a clear agreement, it was said that another solution must be sought that will not directly affect the situation on the ground.
