The image of a united right, outside the DBSH, is being improvised. At the initiative of activists from the association of former anti-communist political persecuted people, a faction of the national association of Albania’s former political prisoners and a “section” of the DP in Tirana, a meeting of representatives of right-wing political entities was organized yesterday; the PR representative was also invited. “Better late than never to unite” was the meeting’s motto, despite the PR’s reservations and objections, for which such a consensus has a vague and even abstract meaning. The DP, as the true author of this meeting, cannot demand the regrouping of right-wing political forces under its banner, since the process of political transformation has advanced considerably and is no longer what it was in 1992. All the DP’s initiatives for unity, or at least for the alignment of the right, have always had ulterior motives.
