DALIP GRECA ARBEN ILIAZI The nation is at risk. Bloodied Kosovo bears the pain of wounds that continue to bleed. The unburied bodies… [?], seized by the Serbian beast, are being abused... International organizations hold endless meetings and only condemn the ag- aggressor, but they do not have the heart to punish him. Albanians at meetings and round tables pretend to agree,... but at least this is something. At least our grief united us in the eyes of the aggressor and the world. For the first time, the Albanian political factor reacted as a bloc after the latest tragedy in Kosovo. Faced with the alternative of life or death, it could not have happened otherwise. Albanians are now trying to respond to the new dilemmas of existence. There is no longer any talk of options, since the options are clear. Now the only thing being discussed is the alternative of self-defence, in order to survive as a nation. “Our salvation will come from our own hands,” says yesterday’s Declaration of the People’s Assembly, a declaration that calls on Albanians to unite. Now the nation must respond as one, since the Euro-American Community, apart from regret, pity and noise, has no intention of taking any concrete action. NATO has not even begun to act on the armament issue. The mass murder of innocent Kosovars, the inhuman massacre carried out before the eyes of the OSCE, show not only the rebirth of the barbaric instincts of the fascist beast named Milošević, but also his defiance of the International Community; his impunity is fatal for the future of Kosovo and the Balkans. Little by little, the Serbs are carrying out their plan of ethnic cleansing: driving more than 300,000 Albanians from their lands and killing more than 2,000 others in the war is a plan studied long ago and now being implemented before the eyes of Europe, which pretends…
