Who has an interest in splitting the KLA? The question seems completely out of place and very naive. It could also be considered rhetorical, and in that vein it would not be worth speculating and guessing at answers to find out to whom the question should be addressed and to whom the answer is due. For now, the KLA is Kosovo’s rifle; it is the freedom we are waiting for—not as a gift, since the word “gift” makes no sense when the soil of Kosovo has been sown with corpses, when mass graves are being uncovered one after another, when our Kosovar sisters are being brutally raped even in military facilities. We cannot expect freedom for bloodied Kosovo as a gift, when dozens of wounded KLA fighters arrive at our hospitals every day, not counting the graves being dug. But precisely now, when the fighting is becoming ever bloodier, when resistance to the Serbs is being organized and expanded, when boys and girls are also arriving from the West in the uniform of hope, divisive news is emerging which does nothing more or less than destroy the KLA. It does not take much thought to understand that this discord was concocted neither in Durrës nor in Tirana, nor anywhere else except in Serbia’s laboratories!
