(Un)Governance responsibility

By Agim NEZA All those who made the coalition with the Socialist Party knew that socialist governance was dragging on in place. All the more so because they had no illusions that their participation in the government cabinet would improve the image of its government. There is no doubt that the situation of social governance in a country had been foreseen and governing a country is not easy. Apart from the objective difficulties created by the exodus of Albanians from Kosovo, are there outstanding figures in the government cabinet and what will the politically governing forces be? On this question, the socialist officials, not only that, not only the Council, the Head of State, but also the party chairman, have spoken only sotto voce, with evasive phrases, but not clearly. On the contrary, they have hidden behind the need for a governing coalition, under which they are trying to conceal all incompetence. It was a matter of governing the country and running the institutions. A state without perspective and without clarity cannot move forward. In this mixture of political interests, the resignation of Nano's government and the assumption of leadership by the new government does not create optimism. On the contrary, with the departure of political forces from the left-wing cabinet, they are trying to preserve power with puppets, with people who bring nothing to the running of the country. This is not a coalition, but political survival. The experience of such governments in democratic countries has shown that governments without strong political foundations cannot function for long. The mismatches and constant fluctuations of coalition partners make the government's position even weaker. In our case, the departure of part of the allies and their replacement by weightless figures makes the governance crisis more visible. The new government has come not as the result of a political project, but as a consequence of the need to keep a ruined majority on its feet. In this climate, the responsibility of governance becomes even greater. It is not enough to say that the difficulties are many and that the country is going through hard days. There must be will, vision and responsibility. Without these, any cabinet, no matter how broad it may seem on paper, remains incapable of solving the real problems of citizens. For this reason, the debate over the coalition, the puppets and the lack of a political backbone is not a formal debate, but an issue that affects the very future of governance in Albania.
