Yesterday, as President Meidani swore in the Meta government, he may have considered himself fortunate that during his presidential term he had the opportunity three times to bless the cabinets of the Alliance for the State, none of which lasted long. Without prejudging how long this government will last, we can safely say that this cabinet is the shortest in stature of all its predecessors. The average height of the Meta government is 1.50, while the prime minister himself has tried to find a tall person to serve as a lightning rod, such as former basketball player Rama, who in fact has been the target of attacks by Albanian artists over the blow dealt to culture. But this is of no fundamental importance to the current government, because its true strategy is to destroy values, not revive them. The names of the ministers in this new cabinet actually bring to mind the efforts of wartime millers during the Second World War, who tried to make wheat bread using corn flour so that they could then sell it at the city market stalls. Likewise, it is clear that the schemes and platforms of the PS and the Alliance for the State have all been made with corn flour (indeed, with expired corn flour), so there is no way they can be sold in the market as wheat bread. It is perfectly clear that the new names in this cabinet cannot be expected to halt the crisis or reduce it, but only to deepen it further and destroy values. This is because the representatives of all three socialist governments used their familiar guiding strategy: “steal, steal, and something will be left for us.” But meanwhile, the Albanian people have no obligation to wait forever while these incompetent cheats do whatever they want with the nation’s future. And for this, a reaction from ordinary people is expected soon; they have no reason to be indebted to the [handaptil], with the medieval platforms of the socialists tried out in three failed governments.
