Although at first glance the Socialist Party, as the largest political force in the current governing coalition, is trying to create the impression in public opinion that it is not rushing its preparations for this year’s local elections, the truth emerging from its central headquarters says otherwise. Elections within this party began some time ago, even though no one wants to acknowledge this directly. Sources from within the SP told “Republika” yesterday that election fever and preparations for them have not only been causing major tremors in the SP’s structures for some time, but have also set them in motion, prompting them to ask the Government for maximum assistance to secure their victory.
