Or they pretend not to believe it... What difference does it make! We keep silent... Or we speak... We listen. We watch. We read... Then we forget. We curse. We shout... And finally we burst out laughing... “Make it a dream, God”! It is the only hope that survives. To live with evil. To get used to it... To have had enough... To grow weary... And then to leave. To break through the brambles. Far away. Far away from this. And not to see our fellow man fall... Only to hear the noise. And say, “Make it a dream, God”! But it does not become a dream. So we drink coffee. We play billiards. We live with evil... Or we leave. But we cannot leave. They won’t let us leave... Or, after all, we don’t want to leave. Why should we leave? Let us stay. Here. It is enough to lend a hand. To stop the avalanche. Just one hand. Or many hands... Or, better still, all hands. Let us stop the avalanche that is coming down... Ourselves... Our world... Our lives... Then let us join hands. Together. To bring hope back. To overcome the evil that is ruling us.
