Last week, the French daily "Le Mond diplomatik" devoted an article in general to the corrupt government and the operation of the mafia in Albania, as well as to corruption in the Greek administration, and in particular to the mafiosi involved in trafficking and drugs. As for the Albanian government, headed by the majority and the failures of the country's parliament, this is one of the most depressing publications about corruption at a time when, the newspaper writes, big business also flourishes thanks to smuggling in oil, cigarettes and other products by people with dual Greek-Albanian citizenship and government ties. The Albanian government is not engaged in the fight against crime; moreover, it encourages it, allowing criminals to corrupt beneficiaries in Albania all the way to the Bank of Albania. In addition, it is said that the families and relatives of government officials are used in the customs and police sectors. The government's "successful" opening to Greece, according to this newspaper, actually means an acceptance by the Albanian government of the shifting of corrupt activity from the offices of the customs and police authorities in Greece to the offices of their counterparts in Albania. The "of"-fly on the side increased on the roads by the poor trying to survive on the outskirts of cities, while the legal consumers are busy with gambling and the mad industrialists in full force, the one armed with confiscated anti-corruption weapons, the leader of the resemblance of the latest experts. From many other equally astonishing sides, attention is drawn to the failure to apply VAT on fuel, dirty money used and administered by corrupt officials. This phenomenon is continuing with such cold-bloodedness as if the entire pyramid of corruption were being rebuilt. This was only an illustration of a government acting against national interests. Rugovë? The burden of shortage and the government's political manipulations are causing great damage. The use of foreign means in cheap manipulations, especially in the construction sector, is chilling. The government's old and new justifications against it calls "idiotic things", but the first of these is indescribable, even to the point of misfortune, sand and gravel with bars.
