SCANDAL Chief prosecutor placed under investigation; murder file disappeared Page 3 EDITORIAL By Genci SORANI While, after a sensational murder in Kiryat Shmone, an Albanian woman was being accused with great emphasis in the press, prosecutors were pointing the finger and the police were responding with little more than claims that they would make “Much ado about nothing” [sic?] from the media’s rights, and someone had taken it upon themselves to hide the truth. For days on end the whole Italian state was alarmed by the front-page headlines saying that a young Albanian woman had been killed by a detective agency. In fact it turned out that she was the victim of a criminal act, but that was not the whole truth. Other events involved the one who killed her and those in power. One by one, some said it on the basis of their own knowledge. According to police reports, the victim named Shehri (famous) was among others. It was said that this victim was found wounded, it was not known why she was supposed to have remained dead. It was not said that the killer’s name was Xhuljo [?-] and Albanian journalists, with unmatched zeal, reproduced the news and with an incomprehensible ease about an unmarked Albanian murder with the explanation of ... An immense type with lyrical distortions of an Albanian death and they handle it even without [illegible word].
