EDITORIAL When the power crisis was declared some time ago, along with the election result[?], many people declared that the end was approaching. Even worse, curiosity took from the day, besides the natural hours that winter has bestowed on it as a winter “privilege” for millions of years, the hours that lighting had stolen from it 100 years ago, after the invention of electric current; the others, together with the many mentioned above, declared the end itself... But apparently there is something worse... Yesterday, the director of KESH had the courage to touch on a large part of the truth—indeed, its bitterest part: “If things continue this way, without rainfall (he did not dare to say, without investment as well), in 30 days we will not have a single hour of electricity a day.” It cannot get any worse. The very end declared several weeks ago is far too small compared with this dreadful prospect, which takes us back two centuries. Just as the darkness itself, which we feared so much when it began to envelop us for many of the few hours of daylight, seems brightly lit compared with what we now know is waiting for us. There are also those who yesterday declared with great “heroism”: “Better to have no electricity than to have them in power.” And how could the PS not boast of its “heroes,” even though its own members, together with the voters who gave it victory on October 1, will remain plunged in darkness, recalling with “pride” the sweet hours of the campaign, when we had uninterrupted electricity and promises in abundance—more than electricity. But even this will not save us, as long as God has forgotten us, not by failing to send us rain, but by leaving us at the mercy of the people of darkness, in a government that cannot even give us light. In the end, we have reached the end itself. And what comes after that?! If we were to believe Buddhist philosophy, we would also have to believe that after the end comes chaos, with its endlessness...
