The socialists’ lukewarm and timid turn is the decision, full of exceptions and alibis, to overthrow the government by political means and not through very serious positions in calculating the vote against it, as had been claimed a few days earlier by the left-wing cabinet. The vote of confidence itself would have had more serious consequences for the socialists than yesterday’s governance would have had for them. The setbacks suffered in the social sphere, the economy, etc. Now, beyond the latest noise, which seeks to encourage corruption as an October trend, will the extensions move toward a transitional government? Is this promise also a concession meant to create an hostile and absurd climate while awaiting the report of the European Commission? Clearly separated from yesterday, with a social-democratic slogan and modern propaganda tools, the offer of a socialist government in power has emerged and does not serve the socialists. Nevertheless, the lukewarmness of their turn is already showing clear signs.
