Strong earthquake in the Government
Selami: "Ministers will be replaced"

TIRANE- The referendum has caused a real storm in the Government. Several ministers will be forced to give up their posts. This was announced at the National Council of the PD by its general secretary, Eduard Selami. The chairman of the Democratic Party accused several ministers of corruption in their ministries. However, he did not name them.
"It is still too early to mention specific names," he said. "At the moment, checks are being carried out in all ministries."
According to Selami, the changes in government will affect the ministries that have been at the center of criticism after the referendum. He stressed that part of the reforms has been hindered by the incompetence and corruption of some ministries.
"Ministers will be replaced," he declared, suggesting that the changes may be imminent. In his view, the Government must regain trust and respond to the signals coming from the electorate.
Selami suggested that the changes could take place after the party’s and the government’s internal analyses are completed.
The Democratic Party is facing the political consequences of the referendum and numerous criticisms from the opposition. These developments are considered a major shake-up in the government structure.
In the face of this situation, the names of the ministers who will leave and the way the cabinet will be reshaped are expected to become clear in the coming days.
