NAPLES - A pair of scissors was forgotten inside the belly of the patient operated on in Naples. This happened to a truck driver, who underwent emergency surgery because in a previous operation doctors had forgotten a pair of scissors in his abdomen. He is 57-year-old Ciro Della Corte, who on 14 September had undergone surgery for a hernia in the abdomen at the Polyclinic. He had suffered severe abdominal pain just one day after the operation. Relatives took him to the "Nuovo Pellegrino" hospital, where he was operated on and the scissors were found in his abdomen.
