A child is kidnapped at school
The kidnappers demand money in exchange for his freedom
Yesterday morning, the shocking event in a school in the capital. Police begin the search
TIRANË - Instead of school desks, he has found himself in another place. So far, a stereotype for everyone - perhaps even for him, but not for the kidnappers. Just yesterday morning, the sixth-grade pupil of the eight-year school "20 Vjetori" in the capital, Erjon Nushi, suddenly became the protagonist of a tragic story never before heard in Albania. Four people took the 11-year-old boy and forced him into a car without license plates. It is said that later, in an anonymous phone call to his parents’ home, there was also a demand to exchange the "hostage" for money. It is also said that the terrified parents of little Erjon are ready to enter into negotiations - within the limits of their financial means - to bring their beloved child back home.

INTERVIEW
"Why we sued Manush Myftiu"
KORÇE - Many years have passed in internment, being sent from one camp to another, from one internment zone to an even harsher one. With small children, they survived among snow, rain and cold in the most remote places. It is precisely all these sufferings and miseries that led Yll Merdani and Lorgji Kuka, together with several other families, to denounce Manush Myftiu for genocide.

High taxes on electrical appliances
The government on heating: use kerosene
TIRANË - The government is taking measures to avoid a winter without electricity. According to the cabinet, as far as heating is concerned, directly, taxes on kerosene will be raised to 7 percent, while for traders of household electrical appliances the news is far from pleasant. Their tax will rise to 100 percent. This is to eliminate the waste of electricity and the decline on the line caused by frequent "black out" incidents. Thus, the government has taken responsibility for ensuring the people’s heating for a long time, as well as for avoiding losses from the wrong measures at Monday’s meeting.

A rare adventure for the believers from Kavajë
Unable to find a mosque to pray in, they perform their prayers on the bus
KAVAJË - A bus was temporarily turned into a place of worship. It happened to a number of people returning from Shkodër to Kavajë: Muslim believers who had taken part in the inauguration of the largest mosque, built in the northern city. The long journey meant that the time for prayer caught the devout believers on the bus, and they did not hesitate and began their religious rites while the bus continued to move. The group of Muslim believers from Kavajë had set off at dawn on Friday from Kavajë to be present on the day the large mosque in Shkodër was inaugurated. Their visit to the magnificent place of worship and their prayers made it clear that these had been moments of rare happiness for them. After spending a night in Shkodër, they set off to return to Kavajë. Traveling along the long road home, they realized they would not make it back in time to their city - indeed, even along the way they did not find any other place of worship where they could pray. Without further delay they began their rites on the bus. Prayers to Allah inside the bus. And when they arrived joyfully in the city, they were happy that, in any case, they had not "forgotten" their faith.
