Celebration of the first private radio station “Ju flet Vlora” One-year anniversary today VLORE - While the draft law on private media is still on the parliamentarians’ tables, today “Radio Vlora” celebrates the first anniversary of its creation. In one of the city’s restaurants, Ferdinand Llambro, the first person in Albania to broadcast private waves in the Albanian language from a small transmitter installed in his home, will enjoy August and the passion that last November gave voice to the words “Ju flet Vlora”. Journalists and local authorities will be invited, and at his side will be the Radio staff: 5 young people whom Llambro has prepared to be the future announcers. His adventure has not been without setbacks. Three months after he started working, his equipment was seized. “The law does not allow private radios,” was the answer. After a short period he started again on the air and expanded his broadcasts to several villages such as Patos and Ballsh. Now he continues without interruption, Every day he broadcasts different programs, especially cultural, sports and music ones: the latest news from world markets.
