TIRANË - "Bravo!" for the Albanian song in Palermo. Among representatives from the various Mediterranean countries, Ardit Gjebrea and the group "Projekt Jon" sounded original. Songs accompanied by video footage too, in the concert that ended shortly before midnight on Saturday, before a huge audience. During the two hours in the hall of the "Politeama" Theatre, there were fewer than half without technical defects, to the delight of the audience.
"Mediterranean Night" drew the attention of the European, Asian and African communities. Together Italy and Algeria, France and Tunisia, Israel and Palestine... On stage, and Albania too. "A well-chosen selection." That is how Arjan Ciko, the artistic director of RTV, described Gjebrea's composition, speaking to "Gazeta Shqiptare". A significant manifestation of the Albanian song in the center of Europe had within it undeniable authenticity and a modern spirit, Ciko stated. "The song was a portrait of the place, the activity aimed at the Mediterranean, bringing it as close as possible to the reality of the country from which it comes."
During the performance of Saturday's compositions, images were shown of the main archaeological and geographical aspects of the country to which it belonged.
