Berisha pleases the opposition: voting will be like in '92
Room for the small parties: the President accepts the four-percent threshold
After talks at the Presidency: full agreement and consensus between the head of state and 13 political parties
TIRANA - Full agreement between the president and the opposition. The law for the upcoming political elections will not change. "Agreed to keep the old electoral law." The head of state thus confirmed the preservation of the existing law before the 13 political forces taking part in the meeting. Since yesterday, the small opposition parties have felt less threatened by the possible exclusion from the next Parliament. The President has mandated that the parties stated that the threshold for winning this mandate will no longer be higher than 4 percent. Berisha also did not confirm the elections within the legal deadlines, which will take place within the legal deadlines. Satisfaction in the opposition, smiles and gestures of thanks from the opposition for the President's stance.

The sea tragedy: here are the names and towns of the illegal migrants
Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
TIRANA - A little more light on the victims of Friday's tragedy, which took the lives of 17 Albanian illegal migrants. A statement yesterday from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made public the names of the survivors as well as the towns they came from of the other people swallowed by the sea. As for their names, mystery still reigns: only some are known. Since they were people unknown to one another, even the surviving illegal migrants cannot say anything more about the unfortunates who disappeared without leaving a trace.

"Children, beware of firecrackers"
VLORE - A deafening blast caused by a tiny object, and... tragedy has struck. In Vlora, lately there have been many children hospitalized for injuries caused by the explosion of this dangerous item. This is not some special weapon that has entered the country through illegal channels, through which lethal tools usually come in; it is an object that until now has been passed off as an ordinary toy, but for firecrackers it is not a toy.
In many clinics in Vlora a large number of them are being sold. Although they all bear the required marking — apparently imposed by an Italian law, the country from which they are imported in large quantities. The sale to underage children is prohibited. Very few people take care that these objects, which seem to be equipment, if they fall into inexperienced children's hands can turn into dangerous weapons.
It is still not known why, but it is a fact that Vlora has somehow turned into the "capital of noisy firecrackers".
Parents, teachers, doctors, citizens who have had the chance to witness scenes of panic caused by these noises, here and there, see them as a means that can cause a great disaster; they are sold completely freely for only 20 lek.
Because Albania has many other troubles. And one must keep moving forward and live only with the idea that adults no longer have time to understand the state of everything that can happen in a world shaped by what is happening today to children. A moment of time can be an obstacle, a nightmare, rather than an excuse; no one should stop paying attention to children, those who are children now, tomorrow the sharpest in the trade of cheap goods. Let people do it in the case of this unknown thing, in the duty that we owe to those who come after us.
