New Year: "Stop price increases"
Yesterday PD group meeting: "Set the ceiling level"
It is requested to establish a special chapter to prevent price increases during festive occasions: "All over the world there are discounts so that even the poorest strata can enjoy them"
Debate over the proposal: "In a market economy, restrictions or ceiling levels for prices cannot be imposed." But everything remains to be decided today in Parliament

"The election law within a month"
All 13 parties urgently ask Arbnori
Yesterday the official request was sent to the Speaker of the People’s Assembly
TIRANE - "The electoral law before the new year in parliament." There are 13 parties that have opposed Arbnori’s decision to examine the election law in January. A request from these parties, issued yesterday from the republican offices, presents to the Albanian parliament speaker the necessity of putting the electoral law up for discussion in البرلمان. "Starting from the consensus reached with the President of the Republic, the amendments should be examined as quickly as possible."

Violence on the Krujë pitch: drastic measures by the Disciplinary Commission
Eight hours of meetings at the FSHF
TIRANE - Drastic measures by the Football Federation after the scandal of Saturday’s match in the town of Krujë. The violence on the pitch, which escalated into a real brawl, with punches exchanged between players and the match eventually interrupted, led the disciplinary commission to meet yesterday and decide to be as strict as possible in this case. In an eight-hour meeting, punishments were decided which will be ratified this morning; a small technical clarification delayed the announcement of yesterday afternoon’s decision.

Troubles even after death...
An emigration story
TIRANE - A death that caused pain and tears for two whole weeks and a corpse whose troubles continued even after leaving this life. This black and ill-fated story affected the 36-year-old and his family in Tirana. The killing of the emigrant in Germany was not enough; it was followed by an unexplained four-day "adventure," finally brought back when Rinas "accepted" the plane that had brought him down to earth.
The tragedy began two weeks earlier, when in a new life in the Federal Republic of Germany, the 36-year-old L.K. from Tirana had suddenly stopped breathing.
The identification and family-notification procedures dragged on until, finally, the 36-year-old’s body had passed the "commission." Lufthansa, leaving the land of emigration that had treacherously taken his life, 96 hours later had left in that state the loss of the dead son; people from the famed victims, unimaginable wise men, the 48, what would happen to him, what had been heard from Albania, had crossed over Italy and the Adriatic until arriving at Rinas. After the time-consuming formalities, the German official airline’s plane encountered new obstacles. For nearly two hours, the Albanian administrative system - together with foreign officials - prevented it from landing. Bad weather and the clouds, together with fog and sudden discharges, formed a barricade in the sky and turned "Lufthansa" back toward the Italian shores. Near Brindisi, where it stopped for refueling, it then took the return route toward Stuttgart. But while they were winning, the emigrant’s relatives had waited in vain for the body of their loved one. And the "Lufthansa" plane tried once again to land at Rinas, together with passengers, fed and shaken ... (?)

Bread in crisis? Price increases
Fier, 5 lek more since yesterday
Bread in crisis?
Price increases
FIER - Is bread in crisis? The shortage of wheat since the beginning of this autumn - the rise in its value on the usual markets and the low production levels in the country - along with the prices of energy, water and fuels used by bakeries are seriously calling into question the price of the country’s productive output. The government’s many attempts do not seem to be easing the bakers’ protests.

A shepherd dies from lightning
He had gone out to graze the livestock
Peqin, bad and harsh weather claims its first victim
PEQIN - To die from lightning. Although somewhat rare? it came as a sudden surprise to several villagers from Peqin, who yesterday had the "fortune" of going out and grazing their livestock in good weather.
The tragic fate, suddenly descending over the heavy sky, fell upon the land of one of the shepherds, leaving him dead on the spot. While for the man among them the shock was extremely great, he is still in shock.
The bad weather ruled over the sky of Peqin as well as over all of Albania. But another consequence and a deeper sorrow befell the shepherds. One of them, 17-year-old Durim Ali Beja, died on the spot after a powerful electric discharge struck him in the head and body. The shock of the strike also affected his companion, 40-year-old Bajram Meta, who nevertheless escaped death.
But the tragic death of the teenager was enough for all of Peqin to go into mourning. Thousands of people attended the funeral of the young man, who had gone out to graze the livestock but had reaped sudden death in the lightning-like clouds from the sky darkened by the bad weather.
