Half of Europe opens its borders to Albanians
The German Embassy will reply again on the first Saturday of the month
With a single visa in 7 EU countries
TIRANË - Seven embassies of European Union countries in Tirana decided yesterday to abolish the visa system for transit travel for Albanian citizens with valid passports. Thus, if an Albanian receives a visa to enter one of the countries in this area, he or she can also move freely in the others.
This decision has been made for Albanian tourists with visas for any European Union country and will take effect starting on 31 March. Aus[?]i, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy and Spain are the countries that will allow Albanians to travel from one to another without needing a transit visa. For travel to Portugal and Denmark, Albanians will need transit visas. As for the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Ireland, it will still be necessary for Albanians to obtain a visa for each country.
There will also be changes in embassy procedures for issuing visas. The embassies of the above-mentioned countries are expected to issue a single visa valid for up to three months. This type of document will be recognized in all the countries mentioned above and will give Albanian tourists the right to move within this area. Albania thus becomes the first country in Europe that is not part of the European Union but enjoys this facility.

"You are poor, you can have an abortion"
The law on the termination of pregnancy is completed. The Ministry seeks opinions
While missionaries, worried by the waiting
Abortion is allowed for all women with pregnancies up to the 12th week. After this period, it is performed only for socio-economic reasons and in severe medical conditions. This is how the draft law on the termination of pregnancy presented yesterday at the Ministry of Health can be summed up. Meanwhile, its head, Tritan Shehu, believes that this law is a necessity for our country, especially if we consider the large number of abortions performed every year, as well as the harmful consequences they have on women’s health. At the same time, the various missionaries present in our country view the discussion of this law with concern.
According to the draft, abortion is carried out at the pregnant woman’s request when, due to family conditions, housing, lack of means of subsistence and disagreements with the partner, she considers the birth of the child difficult. The law also provides for the termination of pregnancy in cases where examinations and various tests show that the child may be born with anomalies. For girls up to 16 years old, the decision is made with the consent of the parents or guardian.
