SHKODËR - A serious incident on the Albanian-Montenegrin border. A border patrol of the Yugoslav republic wounded a young Albanian on Thursday, about 100 meters inside Yugoslav territory. The incident occurred at around 14:00 on Thursday; the victim is Bardhok Doda, 26, from Muriqan. Dialogu is out of danger and is receiving treatment in the surgical ward of Shkodër Hospital. A joint commission from both sides will soon examine the details and responsibility for this border incident. It is the second similar incident to be recorded in less than a month.

The Ministry denounces TIRANA - Crackdown on producers of food products without labels. The decision—accompanied by a series of other urgent measures—was taken yesterday at the Ministry of Agriculture, where food-inspection specialists from across the country had been summoned. Using the “Food” Law as its point of reference, officials at the Ministry of Agriculture denounced numerous violations recently verified in the districts of Durrës, Elbasan, Korçë, Lushnjë, Tepelenë and Tropojë. “There are businesses operating without permits, selling products without work sheets, putting labels without production and expiry dates on containers, while producing bread with unknown flour,” were the allegations made yesterday at the Ministry of Agriculture. Among the urgent measures proposed for the future is penalizing all those who commit fraud, as well as producers of unlabeled food products, and penalizing all those who falsify food products. First visas issued TIRANA - The first visas have been issued to Greek citizens. The Albanian Consulate in Janinë is now officially beginning its work. A special agreement—the opening of the consulate was one of the projects of the Papulia mission—was discussed and signed by one of the co-chairs of the joint Albanian-Greek [commission].
