Electoral commissions: the opposition is alarmed

The election law proposed two days ago by the PD provides for only two opposition members in the Commission Electoral commissions: the opposition is alarmed The parties reject the PD’s formula: It is a coup d’état Godo: "The opposition is not made up of just one party" Gjinushi: "It is a kind of dictatorship that is trying to manipulate the elections" The PD’s formula for the future electoral law is once again causing strong outrage within the Albanian opposition. Yesterday, leaders of this side spoke sharply against the draft law presented by the party in power, not hesitating at all to reveal some of the secrets of their upcoming offensive to defend themselves. History

He did not study: a child attempts suicide FIER - “Life has bored me”, is not something an adult says, someone who truly has reason to say such a thing. It is the expression pronounced so far by a 13-year-old child, the protagonist of a frightening “adventure”, one that is very far from what he should normally be thinking at his age. A few days ago, R.G. jumped from the terrace of the house where he lives. Only a miracle - the branches of the trees that dramatically softened the fall - made it possible for the child, shaken but still alive, to remain among the living, telling what drove him to such an end. For several days the boy had complained that the teachers treated him badly at school, pressuring him that he had to study better. The teachers’ complaints were added to those of the parents. Furious because their son was not doing well in school, they apparently went and punished him. It is said that from this he felt constantly threatened. In the tragedy, the 13-year-old had taken a good beating from his father, and then what happened followed, something to be thankful for, but which frightened everyone. The event would have received only a few months if it had been carried out by an adult; such events in Albania and in the world happen almost every day. But this case from Fier should remind us adults of a category that, in the rush of our everyday work, we often forget, or only remember when someone complains that we are at fault for the children. Have we perhaps forgotten that they have just as many rights as adults themselves, if not more? Should we pay more attention to them? Thinking about it, these lines would not have been written if it had not happened. Huma Redhi

Berisha: “Here is my wealth”

An apartment and 360 thousand lek The President appeals to all officials TIRANA - Berisha declares his own assets. In a statement from his spokesman, distributed last night, the President of the Republic publicly discloses the material goods he owns: a 3+1 apartment, with an area of 72 square meters, and 360 thousand lek obtained from family savings before and during the current term. Berisha’s declaration comes immediately after the government issued and approved the decision which provides for the obligation of state officials to declare their assets and the means by which they were acquired. The President thus becomes the first person to publicly disclose his income and savings. His declaration, however, was not mandatory, since according to the law he must make it only when assets exceed 1 million lek. Although this is a special case, Berisha also appealed to other state officials that those who wish to do so in the future should "make their wealth public, as a matter of morality in Albanian society". The asset declaration law was adopted by the government, from the municipalities up to the highest levels of the state. For MPs this will be done before a special commission and will be returned to the People by Parliament itself. Berisha

Bank of Albania seeks independence

The draft law is sent to Parliament TIRANA - “More freedom and less interference from the Government.” This is the latest aspiration of the Bank of Albania, expressed in a draft law bearing, appropriately, its own name and surname. It is a document which, if approved by MPs in its current form - it is expected to be discussed very soon in Parliament - would give the Central Bank the necessary “power” to achieve its objectives, turning it into a “government” of the world of money in Albania. “It’s better to buy pairs at Ceka’s”

The famous humorist in the role of businessman A new company begins life in Berat: “Ceke Sh.p.k.”, sells hunting guns BERAT - “Buy pairs at Ceka’s in Berat.” Thus one of the city’s best-known figures from the “city of a thousand windows”, the famous humorist Çeka, has taken on another role as well, that of businessman. It is not usually a matter of the cheerful chief’s “dealings” with this business, which, for a significant number of those reading this news item, refers to the director of the company - which has become known as a manager thanks to the name of the handsome actor. “Ceke Sh.p.k.” Officially, its preferred item is hunting guns. It is still unknown how and how much the actor has started from his new business. It is only known that the news made an impression in Berat, where young and old alike admire the humorist for the humor and wisdom that flows from him. Perhaps Çeka himself wishes for hunting guns and has inherited them from his arm. You know, with his humor, they flow with all his hunting. If life ever pleases him to step away from the many roles he has played and enjoy life as Çeka in the role of businessman in communications. Is there a grinding [?] “He writes manager from the morals and roles of Çeka. But he has preferred to open a company for pairs, not hunting guns. In their hope [?] that the shooter’s shooter is enough to fill him with business as much as there are shooters and the triple. It would be good for everyone, first of all for Çeka. p.re.
